(a)i,iii : equivalent resistance = 1 + (1/(1/6+1/3)) + 2 = 5ohm current flow = 2/5 = 0.4A = 400mA (a)ii : the pd of 6ohm//3ohm = 0.4A x 2ohm = 0.8V therefore current flow thru 6ohm = 0.8V/6ohm = 0.1333A = 133.33mA (b)i,ii : ans in (a)ii
